Polythene Envelopes Direct Terms & Conditions for On-line Trading

Orders are accepted subject to the conditions below notwithstanding any conditions of the customer unless specifically agreed by Polythene Envelopes Direct in writing.

1) All contracts for the products of Polythene Envelopes Direct are subject to the goods being unsold on receipt of a firm order. Quotations are valid for 30 days.

2) All contracts are valid for UK mainland destinations only and all transactions take place in sterling.

3) Claims for non-delivery or damaged delivery must be received within 14 days of despatch.

4) Polythene Envelopes Direct shall not be responsible for delay or non-delivery caused by circumstances not completely within its control. Delivery dates given by Polythene Envelopes Direct are target only and shall not be the essence of the contract.

5) The goods delivered are subject to the normal trade tolerances, copies of which are available on request. Sizes shown are overall, cut to cut and that quantities manufactured and delivered may vary by up to 10% from the quantity ordered.

6) Polythene envelopes are normally supplied side weld but we reserve the right to supply other formats unless specified by the customer.

7) Envelopes are packed in suitable corrugated cases which may vary from time to time. Special packing arrangements can be made on request, but may be subject to additional charges.

8) Unless expressly agreed in writing, Polythene Envelopes Direct do not give any warranty, whether express or implied, statutory or otherwise, that the product is suitable for packing any particular goods, produce, material or substance.

9) Orders can only be cancelled when PED are informed before 1pm on the same day as the order is taken and payment is received.

10) Any claim for defective goods must be made within 3 months of invoicing.

11) The goods shall be at the customer's risk from delivery. In spite of delivery having been made property of the goods shall not pass from Polythene Envelopes Direct until the customer has paid the price in full and no other sums whatever are due from the customer to Polythene Envelopes Direct. Until such time as property in the goods passes the customer shall, upon request, deliver up such of the goods as have not ceased to be in existence or resold to Polythene Envelopes Direct.

12) All prices are exclusive of Value Added Tax.

13) The contract is subject to the law of England & Wales and all disputes arising out of this contract shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England & Wales.
